In her most recent Business News article, Amber Crosthwaite highlights how aged care is rarely seen as an election issue by the average Australian, but that COVID may have changed that calculation for many in the upcoming federal election.

According to recent data from Red Bridge Group, 50% of voters could be prepared to change their vote in response to aged care policy. This is an opportunity for the sector to place aged care firmly on the election agenda in order to effect meaningful reform.  The question is, will Labor see this as an opportunity or will it continue to treat it as a ‘small target’?
