About the role

We are searching for a proactive and experienced Legal Secretary to join our Family Law team. Reporting directly into the Partner, this role will require the successful candidate to take full ownership in providing administrative and secretarial support. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Matter and file management
  • General and personal administration support
  • Document preparation and production 
  • Client liaison support
  • Billing

Work from home options are available on an on-going basis.

About you

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and pro-active individual with previous experience working in Family Law with a high level of attention to detail. The successful applicant will bring with them: 

  • Previous Family Law experience creating new client matter files, closing and archiving files
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, regulations and commonwealth courts portal and family law systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous billing experience highly advantageous
  • Proficient technical and computer knowledge, with advanced skills in MS office
  • Typing speed of 70+ wpm
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and assist with competing deadlines
