Small Bar Association
The Small Bar Association of W.A. Inc. (SBA) was established by Lavan partner Dan Mossenson. It is the representative body for businesses operating small bar and other types of licences in respect of tourist orientated unique drinking, eating and hospitality related businesses. The SBA aims to facilitate change and raise the profile of the small bar industry in Western Australia and to foster a dynamic and profitable small bar, music and entertainment culture.
RugbyWA is the governing body of rugby union in Western Australia. RugbyWA was founded in 1893 and club competition was first contested here 70 years later. RugbyWA incorporates both professional and community rugby and is run by its ‘shareholders’, namely WA clubs and affiliated bodies (juniors, schools, referees, women’s and country rugby). Western Australia’s bid for entry into an expanded Super 12 competition started in 2002. The bid was backed by the Western Australian government and in 2004 RugbyWA beat Victoria for inclusion in the 2006 Super 14 competition and the Western Force was established.
