In the recent Federal Court decision of F 45 Training v Body Fit Training Company (No 2) [2022] FCA 96 (15 February 2022), F 45 Training tried unsuccessfully to sue rival Body Fit Training for infringing two of F45’s computer technology patents. BFT denied infringement and, by cross-claim, sought orders revoking the patents.

Justice Nicholas in the Federal Court determined the dispute in BFT’s favour, and found that F45’s patents were invalid and should be revoked. F45 was also ordered to pay BFT’s court costs.
