In this article, Amber explores why retirement living regulation requires a response that looks beyond the notions of vulnerability and consumer protection. The article is intended to highlight the overly-paternalistic approach of the current retirement villages regulation and the opportunity missed as a result of viewing seniors through a lens of vulnerability.
