Ahshiba Sultana is a senior associate in Lavan’s Construction and Infrastructure team.

Ahshiba specialises in complex, large-scale construction disputes. 

Ahshiba graduated with Distinction from Murdoch University in 2014 and has been practising as a lawyer since then.  She started her career at an international law firm and joined Lavan in 2015 as a solicitor in Lavan’s Litigation and Disputes Resolution team.  Since then she has transitioned to the Construction and Infrastructure team where she specialises in construction disputes.  She has experience advancing and defending claims by various forms of dispute resolution, including arbitration, mediation, statutory adjudication and litigation.

As a litigator, Ahshiba has acted for clients before a number of Australian courts and tribunals, including the High Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of Western Australia, the District Court of Western Australia, the Magistrates Court of Western Australia and the Western Australia State Administrative Tribunal.  Her experience encompasses appearing as counsel and advocate for her clients where appropriate.
