In my latest column for Business News, I discuss the new star ratings system for aged care providers. Star ratings will be a powerful tool to help navigate a complex system. First, though, teething problems must be ironed out, accuracy of data input must be assured and perverse disincentives removed. Only then will the scheme have the trust and respect of its two main stakeholders: our older Australians and our providers.
