Framy Anne Browne is a family and divorce lawyer and the lead partner of Lavan’s Family & Private Clients team.
Framy has extensive experience in complex family law matters of considerable commercial and factual complexity involving intricate financial arrangements, overseas assets, intricate tax matters, corporate, business and trust structures.
Framy is adept in representing a wide range of clients across Australia in family law matters including high-net-worth clients and third parties.
She has successfully represented clients involved in cross‑jurisdictional matters and in international proceedings across the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Hong Kong.
In addition to her expertise in financial matters, Framy is well-versed in child-related issues including cases involving international law and relocation.
Before joining Lavan, Framy was a partner at Paterson & Dowding Family Lawyers, where she spent six years. Prior to relocating to Perth in 2009, she was with Watts McCray Family Lawyers in Sydney.
Framy was recognised and was listed among Australia’s best lawyers in 2015 and 2016 as a rising star in Australian family Law. Since 2018, Framy has been consistently recognised in Doyles Guide as a leading family and divorce lawyer in Western Australia and has also been recognised for leading Family Lawyers in High Value & Complex Property Matters since 2020.
