Our Liquor Licensing services

Our team assist in obtaining approvals, liaising with government authorities, dealing with local councils and Police, preparing risk management plans, assisting with the development of noise management plans and obtaining appropriate liquor licences.

We prepare and manage applications to alter, redefine, or extend licensed premises, including changes to approved plans, licensed areas and conditions imposed by the licensing authority, to ensure approvals align with development plans, operational efficiencies, and commercial use of space.

We provide strategic advice to licensees and approved managers on compliance obligations under the Liquor Control Act 1988 (WA), risk management, and enforcement action, including responding to investigations, disciplinary proceedings, and alleged breaches.

We assist operators with applications for extended trading permits and variations to license conditions that support business growth while meeting regulatory and community expectations.

We advise on interim approvals, business continuity orders, transfer-related issues and liquor‑specific leasing and transaction issues to ensure ongoing authority to trade during sales, restructures or changes in occupancy or ownership.

We manage the end‑to‑end process for applications for the grant of new permanent licenses and occasional licenses, guiding clients through the statutory process and engagement with the Licensing Authority and other stakeholders with a focus on efficient approvals and early identification of approval risks.

We act for applicants, objectors, and interveners in contested proceedings, including objections and appeals before the Liquor Commission.

We advise on compliant commercial arrangements involving licensed premises, including profit-sharing models, catering services and hotel or venue management agreements.

We prepare tailored public interest assessments, manage stakeholder engagement, and undertake locality analysis to support license applications and approvals and minimise objection risk.

We assist with trading requirements including new director/shareholder approvals, risk management and harm minimisation policies.

We assist with transfers and removals including business sales and redevelopment.
