Specialising in insolvency and reconstruction, Joe Abberton has worked primarily in advising insolvency practitioners and financiers across all aspects of receiverships, liquidations and administrations.
Joe’s most recent work includes Arrium Group, Forge Group, Citation Resources, Go Marine Group, Centennial Mining Limited, Symbol Mining Limited, Westgem Investments (Raine Square), WPG Resources, ADG Group, Navigator Group, Apex Minerals, Indochine Mining, Peel Zoo, Kailis Olives Group, Farmworks Group.

Before joining Lavan, Joe worked for the former PPB partnership where he attained his Chartered Accountant qualification and was involved in a wide range of insolvency appointments. Joe is also the Deputy Chairman of the WA Division of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (formerly the IPA).
