At Foodbank WA, we believe everyone should have access to healthy food. There are Western Australians going without every day, and we are working hard to change that. Our purpose is to Feed, Educate and Advocate. We do this by providing food and groceries to those who struggle to afford them and in cases of disaster relief. We deliver nutrition education to promote healthy eating and advocate on behalf of people that experience hunger and food insecurity.
Foodbank WA is Western Australia’s largest food relief organisation, operating on a scale that makes it crucial to the work of over 900 front line charities and schools that feed the most vulnerable in the state. 371,000 WA households have run out of food in the last year with numbers growing weekly. Foodbank WA has five regional branches in Albany, Bunbury, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie and Peel. The centre for hunger relief is at Perth Airport. We rely on volunteers to deliver our services and financial contributions to purchase essential food and nutrition education to the WA community.
