About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Family lawyer to join our highly regarded and high performing Family & Private Clients team.

Working within a three-partner practice, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a broad range of matters including divorce, property settlement, parenting arrangements, spousal maintenance, enforcement proceedings and dispute resolution.

About You

As a conscientious and driven lawyer, you will have a minimum of 5 years post admission experience within Family law matters and bring with you experience in:

  • Parenting and children’s matters including complex parenting matters, such as the relocation of children, parentage testing, surrogacy and adoption;
  • Financial settlements including all aspects of property settlement and maintenance cases;
  • Binding financial agreements, superannuation agreements and maintenance agreements;
  • Divorce and nullity;
  • Child support and child maintenance, including, child support agreements; and
  • Non-court based services, such as mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes.

You will be encouraged to build and maintain excellent client relationships and collaborate with others to deliver desired outcomes.  In addition to the relevant legal experience, you will also have:

  • Interest in business development and attending events;
  • A desire to learn and continuously improve;
  • Strong attention to detail and technical skills;
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to excellence; and
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team.
