Desiree Pavey is a special counsel in our Restructuring, Disputes & Insolvency team practising in general commercial litigation and insolvency and restructuring.

In relation to disputes, Desiree provides advice and representation in all areas of commercial and corporate law.  Desiree has conducted matters involving contractual disputes, corporate and shareholder disputes, misleading or deceptive conduct claims, property, trust and securities disputes, schemes of arrangement litigation and regulatory investigations in various Australian courts and tribunals.

Desiree has acted for clients in a range of industries including mining, petroleum and resources, commercial property, finance and agrifinance, government, manufacturing, building and construction, automotive and aviation.

In relation to insolvency and restructuring, Desiree advises directors, insolvency practitioners, financial institutions and other stakeholders in relation to all issues arising from liquidation, administration and receiverships.

Desiree began her career as Professional Assistant to the Director of Public Prosecutions of Western Australia, Robert Cock QC and as the Research Assistant to the Chief Justice of Western Australia, the Hon Justice David Malcolm AC CitWA.  Prior to joining Lavan, Desiree worked at both national and international law firms.
