John Quigley is a consultant in Lavan’s Government & Public Sector team.
Before entering politics in 2001 as the Member for Butler, John worked for 25 years as a barrister and solicitor, specialising in criminal law and representing the WA Police Union, earning honorary life membership for his dedication.
John served as Shadow Attorney-General (2009–2017) before becoming Attorney General in 2017, holding the role until 2024 and becoming the longest-serving Attorney General responsible for the Corruption and Crime Commission. He played a key role in major investigations and reforms that strengthened accountability across government. John was Minister for Commerce (2018–2021) and Minister for Electoral Affairs (2021–2025), focusing on transparency and public service reform. He retired from parliament in 2025.
