Lavan assisted the provider following an unannounced ACQSC site audit that resulted in multiple Not‑Met findings across the Aged Care Quality Standards. We coordinated the provider’s governance response, advised on incident management and clinical risk systems and prepared submissions addressing the Commission’s concerns. Working closely with the executive and clinical teams, we coached frontline leaders on regulatory expectations and guided the provider through follow‑up audits. The service returned to compliance and avoided sanction.

Lavan advised the operator on preparing for the next phase of DEMIRS reforms, including modernising its village contracts, updating disclosure materials, reviewing financial models and improving transparency practices. We undertook a full compliance audit of existing documentation, identified legacy issues tied to residence contracts, and developed a staged transition plan to align the operator with emerging regulatory expectations. Our team also supported the operator in engaging with residents, resolving concerns linked to fee structures and service levels, and implementing governance improvements. This work positioned the operator to confidently navigate upcoming reforms while maintaining strong resident relationships.

Lavan supported an SDA developer establishing a new SDA project, advising on eligibility requirements under the NDIS (SDA) Rules, participant categories, design standards, and compliance across the development lifecycle. We prepared the full suite of SDA tenancy and accommodation agreements, advised on funder and investor arrangements, resolved zoning and planning considerations, and ensured the project structure aligned with NDIS registration requirements. Lavan also provided guidance on operational policies, incident and complaints processes, participant transitions and risk allocation with SIL providers.
