Lavan intends to continue to strengthen its position as one of Western Australia’s leading independent law firms, with a renewed focus on corporate, commercial, property and related legal services.
As part of this strategic direction, Lavan’s Family and Private Clients team will establish an independent specialist family law practice, Clarus Law, through a mutually agreed transition commencing in January 2027.
This transition reflects a positive outcome for both firms. It enables Lavan to further invest in its core commercial offerings while allowing Clarus Law to focus exclusively on family law services and supporting individuals and families through complex personal matters.
Lavan and Clarus Law are working closely together to ensure a seamless transition for clients and people. Existing family law clients will continue to receive the high level of service and support they have come to expect, with continuity of relationships and expertise remaining a priority throughout the process.
Lavan acknowledges and celebrates the significant contribution the Family and Private Clients team has made to the firm over the past 12 years. “We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved together and grateful for the contribution the team has made to Lavan,” said Managing Partner Dean Hely. “We wish Clarus Law every success as it embarks on this exciting new chapter and look forward to maintaining a strong professional relationship into the future.”
Further information regarding the transition will be provided in the coming months.
