Lavan is delighted to announce our most recent appointments and promotions, effective from 1 July 2026, including the promotion of Jordan Grapsas and Kerrie Papamihail to partner.
Jordan Grapsas has built a strong practice across mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and corporate advisory matters. He advises on private and public M&A transactions, capital raisings, mining due diligence and ASX Listing Rules compliance, and is highly regarded for his pragmatic, commercial approach and ability to drive transactions forward.
Kerrie Papamihail specialises in equity capital markets, corporate advisory and regulatory work. She advises local and international clients on IPOs, capital raisings, M&A transactions and restructures, as well as Listing Rules, Corporations Act and JORC compliance. Kerrie is highly regarded for her technical expertise, sound judgment and pragmatic approach to complex transactions and regulatory frameworks.
Lavan is also pleased to announce the promotion of the following legal practitioners within the firm.
Ilvana Arapovic – Family & Private Clients special counsel
Ilvana is a highly regarded Family Law practitioner, recognised for her expertise in complex financial matters involving companies, trusts, partnerships and valuation issues. She also brings valuable experience in Hague Convention abduction matters and international relocation applications.
Natasha Clay – Deals senior associate
Natasha is an accomplished corporate lawyer with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and broader corporate advisory and regulatory matters. Since joining the firm in 2024, she has distinguished herself through her strong technical capability, commercial insight and ability to manage transactions end to end.
Lowri White – Family & Private Clients senior associate
Since joining the firm in 2023, Lowri has built a strong reputation for her work on complex family matters, delivering clear, commercially focused advice with diligence and care. Her promotion reflects her consistent hard work, technical skill and dedication to achieving positive outcomes for clients.
Matilda Birchall – Property & Leasing associate
Matilda is recognised for her strong legal knowledge, drafting ability and strategic thinking. Since joining the firm in March, she has integrated seamlessly into the Property & Leasing team, working closely with senior practitioners to deliver accurate, commercially practical advice, and has earned the trust and confidence of both clients and colleagues.
Michael Pendlebury – Dispute Resolution & Investigations associate
Michael is known for his thoughtful and solutions‑focused approach to legal work, combining strong analytical skills with a practical understanding of client needs. He approaches matters with care and attention to detail, delivering well‑reasoned outcomes and building confidence through his measured, reliable approach.
Kerri Meyers – Lead Practitioner Pro Bono
Kerri is a highly regarded practitioner leading the firm’s Pro Bono practice and is recognised for delivering impactful community outcomes with a strong standard of professional excellence. Since taking on the lead coordination role, she has expanded the scope of the Pro Bono practice reflecting her leadership and growing reputation in this important area.
Lavan has expanded its team by bringing on several new legal practitioners over the past few months.
Simon Chan – Banking & Finance Partner
Lavan welcomed Simon as a Partner in our Banking & Finance team in April. He brings significant experience advising financiers and corporates on complex Australian and cross‑border banking and finance transactions, including acquisition finance, project and infrastructure financing, and property and construction finance.
Olivia Everett – Restructuring, Disputes & Insolvency senior associate
Olivia is a welcome addition to our Restructuring, Disputes & Insolvency team with experience in commercial litigation. She has acted across state and federal courts and advises on corporations law, trust disputes, property litigation, and restructuring and insolvency matters.
Sofia Varricchio – Family & Private Clients associate
Since joining Lavan’s Family & Private Clients team in January, Sofia has brought experience across complex financial matters, parenting disputes and cross‑jurisdictional issues. She manages all stages of matters, including legal research and trial preparation, and has instructed both Junior and Senior Counsel in high‑complexity proceedings.
Lauren Probert – Property & Leasing associate (restricted)
Lauren joined Lavan’s Property & Leasing team in February, bringing over seven years’ experience in commercial property law, with capability across acquisitions and disposals, leasing, development and finance‑related transactions, and a focus on delivering clear, solutions‑focused outcomes for clients.
Agnese Roze – Dispute Resolution & Investigations associate (restricted)
Agnese joins the firm with experience from London in civil litigation, property disputes, as well as corporate and commercial disputes. Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, she brings an international perspective and is on track to become admitted in Western Australia, and therefore dual qualified in September 2026.
